Electrical Engineering Scholarship


MainPower New Zealand Limited (MainPower) established this scholarship in 2003, in recognition of academic achievement by undergraduate students pursuing courses in Electric Power Engineering.

One scholarship is available annually to students in their 2nd or 3rd Pro Year of the BE(Hons) in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Canterbury. Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents and have resided in the North Canterbury or Kaikoura regions for at least one year prior to commencing university study. 

The Value of the scholarship is $5,000 for a period of one year.

Applications should be submitted to the Scholarships Office at the University of Canterbury by 31 March each year.
