Worker Safety


The Board of Directors and Executive Management are committed to:

  • Providing and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
  • Establishing and maintaining safe workplace practices
  • Identifying and managing workplace hazards
  • Providing ongoing training and supervision
  • Setting measurable and achievable health and safety objectives
  • Supporting the active involvement of employees and their health and safety representatives in managing workplace health and safety
  • Ensuring all workplace injuries, accidents and incidents are accurately reported in a timely manner
  • Supporting safe and early return to work of injured employees
  • Ensuring that all managers have an understanding of health and safety management relative to their position
  • Meeting our obligations under the Health and Safety in Employment Act and Regulations, the Electricity Act and Regulations and industry Codes of Practice, Standards and Guidelines.
  • Utilising the Integrated Management System to review, evaluate and continuously improve workplace health and safety.

Every employee is expected to share our committment and play a vital and responsible role in maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for their own safety and the safety of others and have a responsibility to:

  • Adopt safe work pratices and encourage others to do the same
  • Praticipate in health and safety training
  • Actively contribute to hazard identification
  • Report injuries promptly
  • Participate in return to work programmes
